Thailand based association launches Hotel Reservation Portal using technology of TravelCarma

Thai Hotel and Hospitality Management Association (THMA) in partnership with TravelCarma – a division of Avani Cimcon Technologies Inc. has recently launched Hotel Reservation Portal to provide global exposure to small hotels of Thailand. The portal is branded as Small Hotel Alliance (www.smallhotelalliance.com), which promotes Thai hotels part of THMA association.

One of THMA’s core objectives is to help the association hotels increase their profitability. THMA having realized the importance of online travel industry selected TravelCarma as its travel technology partner. TravelCarma delivered a solution consisted of central reservation system, hotel booking engine, agency management system, Facebook booking engine, and content management system (CMS) driven travel portal.

The portal has received applause from the hospitality industry and more and more Thai hotels have expressed their interest in becoming part of this initiative taken by THMA. Customers can directly book hotels, excursions and restaurants online by using the travel portals of the associated hotels in Thailand. The customers can also easily find, navigate and book their entire travel package from a credible platform.

THMA has been working towards key development issues as well as to work for the growth of small and medium size hotels in the areas of marketing, training and development of hotel entrepreneurs in Thailand. THMA is coordinating with more than 180 hotel members in Thailand, ranging from 20 room resorts to 200 room properties. THMA has achieved his aim and still working forward to reinforce the marketing network concept under the name of Small Hotel Alliance Reservation Portal (SHARP) for added worldwide distribution.
